The new "HotBlock®" shrink-fit collet chucks are high precision toolholders which ensure more precision having less coupling thanks to its special tight on the shank cutting tool by thermal clamping. First, the collet tip is heated with the special shrink fit unit (see our Art. K.START.2), causing it to expand. The cutter shank is then inserted, and the collet is cooled to ambient temperature with the cooling machine (see our Art. K. FG500). This causes the collet to contract precisely around the cutter shank with a special concentricity less than 3 micron, therefore the highest precision and stability for high performance.

Sistemi offers the new line of shrink-fit collet chucks HSK63F with a nominal diameter for cutting tool cylindrical shank (no flats) with h6 tolerance (this parameter is satisfied by all the Klein^® tools). These type of toolholders, already used in the metal, automotive and aerospace industries in which precision and reliability are really important things. "HotBlock®" are made for those work process in which you need an higher precision, accuracy and balance, suitable for heavy CNC operations.

The shrink fit unit (Art. KSTART.2), essential if you need to insert the cutting tool in the collet chuck and, beside it, the cooling unit air flow (Art. K.FG500), with which the chuck will return to the normal dimension in order to clamp the shank in 1 minute. These items are sold separately and they assure an incredible number of changing tools!
